I write this shortly before the changing of the seasonal tides. Around me, things are breaking; physical, emotional, and magickal; as the energies begin to shift. "Tides" is an appropriate term. Water flows one direction, stills, and flows the other way. We are now a this point of stillness. In the void, all things may be created. We usually go on about our selfcreated programs and pay no attention to this. Now is the time, though, when we may create our new realities. We may choose and change, if we so wish, the present course of our lives. Solstice celebrations are generally of a celebratory nature; I suggest that we take a more active form. Now is the time to take account of major trends in one's lifeto divine the active possibilities and then choose.

Divination is the art of seeing the whole pattern; the forest instead of the trees. This can be accomplished by casting one's "attention" out of the moment, projecting it into timeless space. When we feel pain in a part of our body, we cast our attention there; when we give a massage, we cast our attention into that person's muscles, to better feel their needs. When we call forth a godform, our attention goes out to their form and we wait for them to empower that form. We may also choose to cast our attention out of times flow, and into the timeless moment. One vision that I have found to accompany this is that of weblike threads of glowing white light intersecting one another, each speeding into infinity. Each path taken is a glowing thread and the impression is received of our Being hanging spider-like in its center. When examined more closely (by moving our attention), the white thread becomes multi-coloured; from there, turning into images. These are scones of the possible- the past and the futurc.

Another form of divination I have found to be of value is of an oracular nature. In this ritual of sex magick, first give a sacrifice to Mercury (possibly by burning appropriate incense or breaking a mirror). Set up a crossroads astrally, and if you wish, physically, and position yourself and your partner in the center. Each direction should be consecrated to the various futures and pasts. During arousal and sexual activity, the active participant should concentrate upon being suspended in the Now, Bindu-pointed, while the passive partner remains as open and empty as possible. During orgasm, both active and passive magickians should project accumulated power up into the throat chakra of the passive partner. The active participant at this point, begins asking the questions she/he wants answered. The passive partner should open his/her mouth - empty - within the state of no-mind.  Words or visions will form of themselves in teh Passive's throat and project outward through the mouth.

These methods I have found to be useful in getting directly through to the source of energy the future holds.
