This lunar goddess figure is made from the long bone of a cows vertebrae, suggesting her connection with Hathor, an Egyptian goddess of the moon. The new moon, or black moon, is the time for looking inward; a time of meditation and channeling the new currents discovered within. At her base are seven black stones, her moons. Upon her head she wears ropes of freshwater pearls. Turquoise and amber also adorn her—wisdom and timelessness.
