It is at this point in our species history that AIDS has become a very real fear. Many of us involved in magick can be considered high risk as a result of past contact with multiple sexual partners. Those of us studying sexual tantras find ourselves in a position of choosing one partner, taking an AIDS test to confirm health (several times), and working with that person alone.Kalas are, for those unfamiliar with them, various types of secretions which flow from the human body. Some of these are embedded within semen, cum, menstrual blood, urine, etc. The majority though, are astrally based and invisible, coming forth from ou r fingers, chakras, breasts, feet and other power nodes in our energy body.
The intensity and flow from our natural kalas differ as much from person to person as does one snowflake from another. Limiting oneself to one working partner can be compared to performing the same ritual over and over. There can be great value in this; a slow progression of awareness towards an imaged goal or result. But a danger also lies in this, for over time, one becomes so familiar with the Other's auric signature that one ceases to be aware of it. This begins in a small way, but over time can c ompletely overcome psychic vision, like eating a specific food over and over until one no longer can appreciate it's taste. Experience with others can prevent this, keeping Sight clear and untainted by habit and it's ensuing blindness.
Our societies structure supports (and often demands) that our instinctual desire to mate be restricted to one sexual partner. Our growth as spiritual beings requires many kinds of bonding.
And because all of the above is true, it becomes necessary to look at nonsexual tantric practices. Herein is enclosed a ritual I recommend to those magickans whose level of initiation includes Conversation with the Holy Guardian Angel, and above. To tho se others, I say: One must know oneself before one can know another.
As a preliminary, the magickan must call forth the Other, the partner with which it is best for him to work. This i done by the active creation of a vacuum within one's secret self.
When the Other appears, s/he may be an initiate or not. Crowley worked with prostitutes, I have not; but I suspect the important prerequisite is that the level of freely flowing kalas is high.
Ethically, the Other must be apprised of the magickan's (or, if in practice, the Tantrika's) desire, and agree to it. If they are unexperienced, one must be very careful to stress certain dangers, such as the most common: obsession. Obsession arises fro m the mistaken belief that one and only one person can create the magickally charged emotional and spiritual levels experienced. First times are always difficult, experience teaches otherwise.
Once the Other has agreed, it is necessary to gauge the strength of the psychic bond between you. Are you empathic? Telepathic? Are they? How strong is the pull that calls you together? Does their presence strengthen you, weaken you, or both? Most i mportantly, DO YOUR SPIRITS DRINK FROM THE SAME FOUNTAIN ?
Initially, there must be a purification of the body. In India, before a sacred dance takes place, the dancer is oiled and massaged head to foot. The purpose of this is not to relieve stress, as if often done here, but to clear any obstructions to the fl ow of kalas through, into, and out of the body.
This is not to be a massage as ordinarily understood. We are not concerned with muscle groups, but with nerve centers. The motion of the hands is that of reaching inside of the OTHER'S auric structure. This must be done very slowly to be effective. As you reach in , remain so until astral contact is made between your energy body and your Others. In this way, the flow of current between you begins.
The next step is to reach into yourself and find the point of contact that exists between you and your God/dess. Contact Them through it and draw them through that point and into your Other. Their arms become infused with the arms of the God/dess, their legs, with Their legs. You MUST be familiar with the contact point within you for this to be successful.
When your vision holds firm within the Other's aura, the contact has been successful. In this way, cover the entire body, until it has been transformed. Your own body, as part of this work, becomes naturally connected at each point, and two auras become one. As the Other is transformed, so are you.
Within the context of Indian sacred dance, the culmination of this ritual lies in the performance of the dance. Within the context of sexual tantra, the culmination is in the polarization, and then union, with the Opposite. Com-union and exaltation of t he two (2=0) can be attained through the non-sexual means herein described.
Once the Tantrika and Other are fully entrance-d and invoked, it is for the Two become One to move deeper. Your actions should no longer at this point, be motivated consciously. (My teacher once said, when I had asked the meaning of certain mudras (hand positions), that ALL hand positions were sacred mudras, only I had not realized that yet.)
Such, I learned, can be true for ALL bodily movements, and your bodies will adjust themselves accordingly. At this point, the two auras being continuous, you will both become aware of certain nodes of power from which in-flow and out-flow are taking plac e. These are the kalas, without which life cannot exist, and they will feed each other in a motion of union.
As palm touches palm, or the third eye (Ajna chakra) is raised to the Others, as one's head rests upon the Other's breast, or takes within the invisible kalas that stream from ones nipples, as back fits to back and the chakras of the body line up so that the energy of each flows into and then out of the Others---
Until one's Spirit passes into and through the Others, to dwell, eternally--.
And there, let it Rest.
