- I have one picture left on the film and consort who has again completely redone her altar surprises me by allowing me to photograph it. I think so many people could learn from the things that she does with her daily altar work but she refuses to let me publisize it... I respect this but wish it could be shared for others to learn. We
decide to create an altar for our Eastern things, partially out of clearing her regular personal altar so she can dedicate it solely to Odhin. This is fun as we are able to do it together. A fine way to start the month of our wedding. We use a bookcase that my father gave us recently and go out shopping for accesories... I drop the film off to be
developed. I will get a photo of the Eastern altar later...
Robb from Dayton calls to get the Gild address so he can send his letter for re-admission. I am pleased that he has taken his vow so seriously.
D.L. calls about pursuing the Seidth work. I have Eliade's book on Shamanism, which he can borrow and he already has the Harner book. I have read both years ago... G. and Consort
have already signed up for Seidth training sessions in Lexington, so perhaps he and I will accompany them...
I don't have much luck finding Heimdallr things for my altar but do buy tea lights to use for offerings.
I note that the upstairs neighbor has cleared out a patch of weeds along te drive behind the house. It occurs to me that I could
get just a little of the space, say five or six feet in the corner of the fence and create a small stone altar to the land wights and elves. I'll have to speak to him about that.
IAC Moot photos turn out very well and I will try and scan them this week.
Put the initial file translations of the Norse Legendary sagas up for Zoe to access. There are a
few minor problems with the parser (or perhaps the encoding...?) but I am hoping that she will be able to use them at her site and then I will go ahead and process the remaining two volumes.

- IAC Moot picture turn out very well. I get a web-article together for Kindred Spirits web page and add several images to the Blackmoon Altars and Temples section.
Add Heimdallr call to regular daily practice. Still no contact... Consort mentions to K. that I have him for patron. She has some simple advice on contact. Says not to worry
about particulars -- he is very good at letting you know what he wants... oh Joy! Describes presence as very awesome and powerful...
Discover that UC library now has the Medieval Scandanavia encyclopedia book and stop by to pick it up. Find a whole section on Viking Age materials. Also order a dissertation on the Roman ancestor worship
with the Penates and Lares for Rob.

R. takes me to AMR inscription site. We each copy the inscription and work a little on deciphering it.

- Work on AMR inscription with little result. Has runes from all three systems intermixed. I can't even determine what language it is at this point... I am exploring the possibility that it is not an inscription proper but rather a cipher.
Armanen Rune Yoga group is off to a shoddy start so we decide to begin again with the initial breath work.
For some reason, I am very angry and out of sorts... try not to express this but folk pick up on it and all individually assume that I am angry at them! This is humourous but kind of sad too!
Need to check with Maegdlynn about wedding vestments. Ti and Mish are due to stay with her for a week-long visit and I would like to try and use this opportunity to get some major work done with Mish on the Gallery and other Moonweb stuff.

- DL get IAC Moot web-article up on Kindred Spirits page. Adds the excellent Thors Hammer background, so that it matches the rest of the site. Very good work! Perhaps Louis will be inspired to begin documentation of the major pagan festivals that he attends? Although, I am very careful to get everyone's permission for photos, Asatru Folk seem
much more at ease with the photography issues than other pagans...
Would really like to hear what Winifred thinks of the maze dance photos!
I am intrigued by the possibility of doing a similar maze working with Green Dome, perhaps fotr Beltane?

- Begin work on the ash gandr. I split the wood to a convenient size and then begin shaping the gandr with a knife and some wood-planes. As it begins to emerge from the wood I can already feel that it has a resonance and charge to it.

- DREAM:
I am at an Asatru gathering and there is a little boy that I must take to another gathering at a seperate site. The boy has a candy bar in my car and I go and get it and another for myself. The boy sees his candy bar and protests, thinking that I am going to eat it but I show him the second one and explain that I brought them for us both to eat. I know that I have to
get him to the other site and I have this sense of mild irritation that I have to do this as well as some uncertainty that I can find the location. Then, P. has died and the folk divide up into two groups to plan his wake. D. is in my group and she is crying and upset about his death and tells how she and P. used to pack up together each festival, somehow, my leaving
with the young boy has changed this although there is no sense that she blames me of the boy for his death, it is one of those "if only..." sort of speculations. I say something funny and the group I am with laughs but the folk in the other group look over at us and I have to explain that it was something that P. would have liked...As I am waking I see a very tall
single candlestick and someone is saying that it doesn't have a match and I hear of sense that it should be used for Heimdallr.
Consort has an interesting interpretation of the dream: I am the boy, P. represents a quality (we she discribed as Dyonesian) that I am afraid I must give up in my quest to know Heimdallr but that in fact I don't have to be concerned about
this... Also, when we went shopping the other day there was a tall spiral candelstick that I admired. It was formed from four spiraled bars: (a quadruple helix?) She thinks that I need to acquire it.

- Dream:
Have a very rich involved dream and only remember the last portion of it. I am at some sort of Pagan gathering. There are a lot of people in a very dense throng and it is located on some land by a ranch style one floor house. I am in a large, dense throng of people dancing ecstaticly around a small circle perhaps only ten feet or so accross. DL and one or two other indistinct folk are in the
center of the people and are being cheered by the throng. I hear someone call my name and then they are pulling me out ot the throng. The person who pulls me out tells me that there is someone who has been seriously hurt, expecting me to take action. As I am told this, I realize that I am already aware that someone has been hurt, I think in an automobile
accident when they left the festival. In the next image I am envisioning within the dream how to heal them. The young woman is laying down beside a large book and I take my hands on either side of the book not actually touching it and grasp the "rightness" of the book and transfer it to the young woman in order to heal her.Put Lu's MR for Aug. on-line today. I always enjoy reading it as I
format it for the web. His life is so rich and his observations so poignant that I get much from his experiences. I particularly enjoyed his anecdote about charging a talisman to recorded in a film to create a talismanic energy circuit with te film to feed the Thelemic Loa. It occured to me that this was quite subversive and insidious: of course many would argu that broadcast media already does such
things!
Winifred sends me some possible dates for a Seidth/Drumming session exchange. Will check out the feasibility of same and begin planning.
Posting on the Asatru discussion list this morning about Heimdallr which I print out for later perusal. Also recieve a personal message from B. about an odd web site which turns out to link the Amanita Muscaria with Seidth! Don't know what to make of that!!! Xocapilli strikes again! Leaping Volltiger formulas and all... Who knows what grows at the base of the great world tree?
Got more work done on
the gandr. It is now ready for a rough sanding and then preparation of the runic inscription.
Heimdallr article is very good and I think should be preserved as a web-article. Will contact author about same...

Z. sends me email about the Fournaldor Saga. It appears that the TACT analysis software may be useful in generating the machine-readible Norse Dictionary that I need for hte instructional software project...

- Receive a wonderful wedding present from Lu! Two mugs with the NOSVT logo on them and an Erzulie love charm which consort immediately installs on her altar and we decide shall be a part of our daily rites!

- Dream: very vivid. I am in alternate world. I meet a person whose title is The Judge and yet he is at worst a benevolent dictator as that word has none of the negativity that I would associate with it in this world. We are having a conversation and I realize that he is very naive about my world and that I will need to help him in order to protect it. I tell him that we must go and get some books that he
can use to learn from. He tells me that he has something to show me and takes me over to a place where a small rock about the size of a football is lying on the ground. He sets a lobster down near the rock and it scuttles forward to make contact with the rock which begins to glow. Suddenly a young woman named Tracy rushes forward to touch the rock and the Judge and I are not able to stop her.
I know that this is a great tragedy but not the details of why that is so as I awaken.
Later, I am reading the Medeival Scandanavia Encylopedia, which is about 900 pages. I just skim through it and read the entries that interest me. I am reading one about the Vinland sagas and note a reference to Jones and look up in the bib section at the end to see if it is Gwynn or not when lo and behold I find AMR of the mystery inscription listed! Ah the plot thickens!
I log on and order AMR's book.

- Rather lackluster Kindred meeting. Nobel Virtue discussion and study of the Prose Edda are delayed yet again. We watch a video on Viking shipbuilding which is interesting.

- I am aware that I have been dreaming very vividly almost every night. Sometimes the images are gone from my memory with only the wispy rememberance of their presence.
Dream:
My (drinking?) horn is lying on the ground with some ants running over and out of it. I pick it up and realize that the ground itself is totally infested with ants to the point where it is nothing but a shell... It's like a very sureal painting in which you zoom in to discover that the entire image is comprised of minute figures.
