- Ocean...Mishlen built a stupa of sand by the ocean's edge and placed Elaine's ashes in it. She shifted through the ashes with her hands, held bits of bone.

- Complete reading of "On the Road." I've driven cross country about 6 times in the last 5 months.

- Drum Rite at house...Voices during Ellegua/Legba. On playback, there was the sound of Chinese opera. Singh, who was playing bell, said, "Makes sense."

- Ritual at Voodoo Spiritual Temple. I realized that. we had an Anglo-me, an Afro-Miriam, a Latino-Luis, and Sing- Oriental.
Played Ibiji and the recorder broke.
School...again 2 and a half hours of sleep.

- The one cat in the yard keeps getting pregnant. She is wild, can't touch her but she knows there is food Mishlen puts out and has her litters in or by the courtyard. The dismal science and all of that.

- Long day of completing school work.
