RITUAL: Voodoo Spiritual Temple
WILL: To honor Oswan
LOVE: In courtyard. Special attention to the ancestors.
SUCCESS: Warm, heated up when the cock crowed in the back and I took it some of the drink and food Miriam had cooked.
COMMENT: Oswan had been known to come back in a cocks body and 10pm is an odd time for a cock to crow.

WILL: Meditation on the Four Simbi for order of service
LOVE: Performed sections of the Rite interspersed with teaching and organization
SUCCESS: Enough order for the loa to come and guide the ceremony
COMMENT: Many mosquitoes. Mosquitoes as the ancestors...gave a bit of blood to those who have gone before me and opened my way.

Mombo Miriams birthday. it seems as if the most meaningful thing I can say to anyone on their birthday is , "Thank you for being Born." It is a choice that has been made.

RITUAL: Four Simbis with Mombo Muslima.
WILL: Teaching; Honor and Respect to the loa, in particular Simbi
LOVE: In large hotel room. All parts of the ritual flowed together. One part leading inexorably into another.
SUCCESS: Strong call, Muslima was filled with the Simbi.
COMMENT: Vodoun Carefour is a complete working group along with students.

Well!!! I once again have energy to do my Will.
Now I know why the Tibetans say that if you don't Practice while you are well you sure as Hell won't practice when you are sick.

I can feel the energy reentering my body. Does one's will change with sickness? Crowley would not do magick when he was sick. One's Word and the ability to keep it certainly changes.

LOVE: Special attention to Azaka
SUCCESS: All well served
COMMENT: Miriam emphasized that it is necessary to build up the internal strength to withstand a bad harvest. Not to depend over much on the external. Grow internally and be able to meet all eventualities.

The door to the Invisible World is firmly rooted in the Visible
World. Complete attention to the Visible moment gives access to the eternity of the Invisible. This path is awful in its simplicity.

Mail from Frater L aus F regarding the woman who died in the failed bunjee jump at the Superdome for the SuperBowl Game. L aus F wrote that such a jump could be done in a sacred context with only a vine and the outcome would be fine. But, even with th e latest equipment and technology, such a jump in a charged atmosphere that is not based upon the sacred, likely (as it in fact did) leads to disaster.

Meditation at Voodoo Spiritual Temple...Special attention to Oswan's writings on prayer and Singh's writings on Thelema and Voodoo. Oswan made the point that when we pray we should completely clear our mind and heart and leave the problem or object of the prayer with That to which we pray. Singh described Thelema itself as being a loa. This has never occurred to me, I have regarded Thelema as being the point upon which the thelemic loa walked. If Thelema is indeed a loa, it is of immense power.

Monday 3/17

- Celebration for St. Patrick....Damballah and Ayido Wedo. Placed new flowers from the Cammilia bushes in front on the pillars of the front porch. The Irish Channel, where we live, was packed. - I have learned that the institution where I will be working in England plans to stage a Mardi Gras Play "in honor of my being there." So beautiful...I am given so much....inspires me to study/ to research that I may give more.

Voodoo Spiritual Temple Meeting...Working to give the Temple enough form for the tax people. Priestess Miriam has accepted the ByLaws. Good example of spiritual gains being held in place by material solidification.

Movie about Verlain and Rimbeau. A celebration of the senses.

Thursday 3/20

RITUAL: Voodoo Spiritual Temple
WILL: Honor the Spring Equinox
LOVE: Particular attention to Osain and to Dambalah and Aiedo Wedo.
SUCCESS: Felt strong current from The Great Snakes. One of the main women taken by the Spirits wore a striking green Turbin. This is the color of St Patrick who is sacred to Dambalah having been swallowed by the Great Snake.
COMMENT: Tasty possession of woman in the green turbin. As she went into Spirit so did I and, while drumming, we had a good exchange.
-Strong Thelemic current in home Temple. Mary is bright with energy.

Taxes...This is not something I want to do...I seem to believe that Spirit does not move in this type of activity. Mundane (The World) as unworthy...Hah!...a vile distain for my Savior.

Saturday 3/22

Taxes...A bit more awake today. Joy in the doing. Worked on them till 5 a.m. A good activity for Lent.

Sunday 3/23

RITUAL: To the Palms of Ayizan
WILL: Honor to Marie Laveau/Erzulie/Ayizan.
LOVE: Quick movement into female Ogun current (Annie Christmas). Cleansing and healing.
SUCCESS: All well served.
COMMENT: In the Voodoo Tarot, Ayizan and Marie Laveau intersect; they meet as the Express and the High Priestess. This is the glygh of the Virgin Birth. As Spring is born virgin each year.
-On the way to the ritual the loa instructed me to bring a shell as an offering. This made no sense to me in the context of this ritual. But...Temple was a bit crowded and I ended up playing in front of La Sirine's alter. This was god but not enough, then the Spirits spoke through Miriam of the "sea within." AH! I had never took the great loa of the ocean as internal forces. This opens many interesting roads. The shell was left as an offering to a La Sirine I now saw in a different light.

- Taxes...in High Spirits.

Voodoo Spiritual Temple Meeting. Working with Miriam in ernst on Oswan's cartomancy book. This work could also be filtered into a book by Miriam.

News on the teacher exchange. Now it is 98% sure I will be in London next year.

The magickal connection between the work of Dr. John and Marie Laveau and the voodooists of today is through this land; through this earth. Doctor John drummed at ceremonies as I do now. His feet touched the same earth. I move through his shadows.

Worked till 5:30am and then got so sick I did not think I could make it to the bed to lie down. Residual from the flu?

Easter...Out to Nuteria to drum with Don DuFrane. Don is in his late 70's and has just about used up his body but his passion for drumming remains strong and steady. Played yenvelou to the Great Snake in praise for hir coming to the surface of the ea rth.

Monday 3/31

Ocean - Joining of the internal and external sea. Praise to Neptune, Agwe, Yemaya. -The old Tibetan magicians substituted water from a cave for blood in many spells. Very nice, Blood of the Earth.
