Austin Osman Spare was a graphic artist whose work has been compared with that of Aubrey Beardsley and Sidney Sime. A contempory of Aleister Crowley, he was a member of the Argentum Astrum (A. A.), the Order which Crowley founded. Spare wedded the practices of witchcraft to his individualized ZOS-KIA CULTUS, the Magickal manipulation of Imagination and Will.
