Boy Scout Troop 940
Cincinnati, Ohio

A. INTRODUCTION

Dear Scouts and Parents: September 1994

This Handbook was developed so that all the Scouts and their Parents would be able to have a better understanding of the operations of Troop 940 and our Scouting Program.

Troop 940 is chartered by St. John's Catholic Church in West Chester, Ohio. Troop 940 is part of the Fort Hamilton District of Dan Beard Council. We subscribe to the ideals of the Scout Oath and Law. This is accomplished through a rigorous program established by the Patrol Leader's Council and approved by the Troop Committee. The program of Troop 940 is established to meet the aims of Scouting: to build character, citizenship and fitness.

To maintain an active Scouting Program, many adults are needed. Please review the Parents Guide to Scouting and Troop Organization Sections of this Handbook. Please fill out a resource form (in the Appendix) and give it to one of the members of the Committee. Even if you only have a small amount of time to volunteer, the Scouts certainly will appreciate it.

Please refer to this Handbook often and advise us of any additional information that you feel should be included into future editions.
